Nazareth
A hill city in Galilee-with narrow, cobbled streets climbing up the steep mountain and mellow houses of masonry;half hidden by tall cypresses:this is Nazareth today, much as it was two thousand years ago.
The church bells of the Christian shrines ring out in the clear mountain air, sending their joyful peals echoing over the valleys below.
Inside the old town, pilgrims pick their way carefully through the colourful oriental bazaar, gazing in amazement at the open shop fronts on either side which offer a bewildering array of souvenirs and fragment spices,of carpets and coffee, beads and brassware,or pausing to sample a sweetmeat served piping hot from the baker`s oven.

The grave of Yitzhak (right) and Leah Rabin (left) on Mount Herzl.
After his assassination, Rabin was hailed as a national symbol and came to embody the Israeli peace camp ethos, despite his military career and hawkish views earlier in life. He is buried on Mount Herzl. In November 2000, his wife Leah died and was buried alongside him.
